The Wind Simulator is made to display the Harp in a home or gallery setting. A wind harp will not sound if a fan is blown across it. The air must be pulled across the strings. The reason for this is that the airflow over the strings needs to be laminar, as opposed to turbulent, in order to produce the harmonic oscillations of the strings.
This Wind Simulator is crafted from poplar wood and is finely finished. It includes a spot for an information card. The fans that pull the air across the strings are controlled with a timing circuit, which slows down, and speeds up the fans in regular intervals, mimicking speed variations of the wind.
